Supreme Court Knows Their Place

The United States Supreme Court declined without comment to intervene in Massachusetts' issuance of marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples beginning on Monday (Boston Globe).

There's nothing really to add, other than it seems that only God himself could prevent the marriages from occurring at this point.

The court cases will be heard on the merits at a later date.

That point is, opponents to gay marriage don't have any good arguments against it.

How on Earth do these intellectual midgets keep coming back to "the purpose of marriage is procreation" as their only argument?

According to Jeff Jacoby, couples must also pass a fertility test and sign an affidavit of their intention to have children before being issued a marriage license. Anyone failing the fertility test, or who planned to either not have children or adopt children should be denied a license according to Jacoby.

Brilliant. You're right, he helps make a strong case for same-sex marriage.
